Centrus is making one of the largest advanced manufacturing investments in East Tennessee.
The company recently announced plans to invest more than $560 million to expand its Oak Ridge manufacturing facility, creating nearly 430 new jobs in Anderson County over the next several years. The expansion will support large-scale production of advanced gas centrifuges, with the first new centrifuges manufactured in Tennessee expected to come online in 2029.

That leadership continues to gain momentum. Centrus was recently selected as the eighth recipient of funding from the Tennessee Nuclear Energy Fund, reinforcing Tennessee’s growing role in nuclear innovation. The company also signed a contract with the U.S. Department of Energy to finalize the terms of a $900 million award supporting expanded production capacity for High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU), a critical fuel source for advanced nuclear reactors.
