Tennessee Businesses Shaping What Comes Next

Tennessee Businesses Shaping What Comes Next

Infrastructure Week is an opportunity to recognize the systems that keep Tennessee moving — from highways and bridges to energy, broadband, freight, and water infrastructure. It is also a chance to recognize the companies and workers helping build the foundation for Tennessee’s continued economic growth.

At the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry, we are proud to represent members that are investing in infrastructure projects and innovations across the state every day.

Companies like HNTB are helping shape the future of transportation and infrastructure through engineering, planning, and design expertise on projects that strengthen connectivity and support long-term economic growth across Tennessee.

Technology and connectivity are also shaping the future of infrastructure. EPB has become a national model for broadband and smart grid innovation, demonstrating how infrastructure investment can drive economic opportunity, workforce growth, and community development.

Last year, the Tennessee Chamber hosted its first-ever Infrastructure Summit, bringing together business leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing Tennessee’s infrastructure systems. Following the success of that event, the Chamber established its Infrastructure Advisory Council to create a dedicated forum for industry leaders to help identify infrastructure challenges across the state and offer real-world solutions that support continued economic growth and competitiveness.

Through the Infrastructure Advisory Council and annual Infrastructure Summit, the Tennessee Chamber remains committed to bringing together the public and private sectors to address priorities surrounding transportation, energy, broadband, water infrastructure, and long-term economic development.

This year’s national Infrastructure Week 2026, led by United for Infrastructure, highlights the importance of sustained investment and collaboration to strengthen America’s infrastructure systems and economic competitiveness.

Infrastructure investment impacts every industry in Tennessee. Manufacturers depend on efficient freight and transportation networks. Communities rely on safe roads and reliable utilities. Businesses need strong broadband access and modern energy systems to compete in today’s economy.

As Tennessee continues to grow, collaboration between the public and private sectors will remain critical. Our members are helping lead that effort through innovation, investment, and a shared commitment to building a stronger future for Tennessee.

This Infrastructure Week, we celebrate the companies, workers, and partnerships that are helping keep Tennessee connected, competitive, and prepared for what comes next.
