Tennessee Chamber Leads Members to Washington, D.C. for Annual DC Fly-In

This week, the Tennessee Chamber proudly led a delegation of our members to Washington, D.C. for our annual DC Fly-In, bringing the voices of Tennessee businesses directly to the nation’s capital.

The day began early with important meetings on Capitol Hill. Delegates met with Katie Lane, Chief of Staff for Senator Marsha Blackburn, followed by a session with Senator Blackburn’s Chief of Staff. Members also connected with Chairman Chuck Fleischmann, setting the stage for a day focused on advocacy and engagement.

After these morning discussions, members enjoyed the Quantum Reception, an opportunity to network, connect, and prepare for the day’s sessions while enjoying light refreshments.

The delegation then met with Senators Bill Hagerty and Marsha Blackburn, sharing the perspectives and priorities of Tennessee businesses. Lunch programming at the Capitol Hill Club offered a chance to regroup, share takeaways, and prepare for the afternoon’s one-on-one congressional visits.

In the afternoon, members met individually with Tennessee’s House delegation, including:

  • Congressman Tim Burchett
  • Congressman Chuck Fleischmann DesJarlais
  • Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger
  • Congressman David Kustoff
  • Congressman John Rose

These meetings allowed Chamber members to discuss key policies, business challenges, and opportunities, ensuring that Tennessee’s business community is heard at the federal level.

We are especially grateful to the sponsors who helped make this Fly-In possible, including Vanderbilt University, EPB, MECO, AO Smith, and Middle Tennessee Electric. Your support allows us to continue amplifying the voice of Tennessee businesses in Washington.

The 2025 DC Fly-In was a powerful reminder of the importance of advocacy, collaboration, and staying engaged in shaping the future for Tennessee’s business community. We look forward to continuing these conversations and building on the momentum from this year’s Fly-In.
