New Executive Director of the Tennessee Manufacturers Association

The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry today announced that Edward Burch has joined the organization as Executive Director of the Tennessee Manufacturers Association (TMA), where he will lead statewide initiatives supporting Tennessee’s manufacturing sector.

In this role, Burch will oversee the Chamber’s manufacturing strategy, working closely with manufacturers, policymakers, and economic development partners to strengthen Tennessee’s manufacturing ecosystem. He will focus on member engagement, policy development, and strategic initiatives designed to promote innovation, workforce development, and long-term competitiveness for manufacturers across the state.

Burch brings extensive experience in economic development and business recruitment to the position. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Business Development at the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, where he played a key role in recruiting major investment projects to Tennessee and advancing the state’s pro-business climate.

“Edward brings a deep understanding of Tennessee’s economic landscape and strong relationships across the business community,” said Josh Brown, President and CEO of the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry. “His experience working directly with companies considering investment in our state will be invaluable as we continue strengthening Tennessee’s manufacturing base and supporting the businesses that drive our economy.”

During his time with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, Burch worked on projects that generated thousands of new jobs and more than $1 billion in capital investment across the state. He has also been active in regional economic development efforts and served on the Board of Directors for the Southern Economic Development Council.

“I’m honored to join the Tennessee Chamber and lead the Tennessee Manufacturers Association,” said Burch. “Manufacturing plays a vital role in Tennessee’s economy, and I look forward to working with manufacturers and the many stakeholders across our State in ensuring Tennessee remains the best place to do business.”

The Tennessee Manufacturers Association serves as the unified voice for manufacturers across Tennessee, advocating for policies and initiatives that support industry growth, competitiveness, and job creation.
