Inaugural Influential Woman in Business Award Recipient
The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry proudly recognized Tracy Woodard, Director of Government Affairs at Nissan North America, as the recipient of the inaugural Tennessee Chamber Influential Woman in Business Award during its Women in Business event held May 15 in Nashville.

The award was created to recognize women who demonstrate exceptional leadership, professional achievement, mentorship, and lasting impact on Tennessee’s business community. Woodard was selected for her decades of leadership in public policy, economic development, and corporate advocacy across the state.
Over her distinguished 36-year career, Woodard has played a major role in shaping Tennessee’s economic landscape, including helping lead Nissan’s headquarters relocation from California to Tennessee in 2006, a move widely recognized as transformational for the state’s business growth and recruitment efforts.
The inaugural award recipient was selected by a distinguished committee representing key organizations across Tennessee’s business and higher education communities, including:

- Stacey Cothran, Waste Management
- Tammi Ford, Blount Partnership
- Vicki Bunch, Tennessee Board of Regents
- Victoria Hirschberg, University of Tennessee System

Throughout her career, Woodard has been recognized as a trusted leader in government affairs and public policy, helping shape legislation and policy discussions impacting the automotive industry and broader business community. She has also served as a mentor to countless professionals and has championed workforce development and manufacturing education initiatives across Tennessee.

Woodard has been actively involved with the Tennessee Chamber for more than 25 years and has consistently supported efforts to strengthen Tennessee’s business climate and workforce pipeline.
The Tennessee Chamber’s Women in Business event brought together business and community leaders from across the state to celebrate women making a meaningful difference in their organizations, industries, and communities.
