Annual Events

Tennessee’s most recognized and prominent legislative reception event, the annual kick-off reception brings together over 600 attendees consisting of elected officials, legislative staff, lobbyists and business leaders to celebrate the annual start of the Tennessee General Assembly.

One of our most popular conferences, this event provides essential industry workforce updates from higher education, K-12 and the Tennessee Department of Labor. Additionally, it offers essential insights into how Tennessee companies are working to improve and plan ahead for their workforce needs.

Tennessee’s largest legislative Day on the Hill, this annual meeting brings together the State’s top business leaders, economic development partners, chamber of commerce executives and statewide elected officials to gain insight on crucial policy issues impacting business and industry, it also provides insight into the Tennessee Chamber’s legislative policy priorities as well as issues that impact businesses across the state. The annual meeting begins with a luncheon and ends with a legislative reception.

This workshop and luncheon celebrates the strength and power of women in business. It provides an opportunity for women across the state to connect with one another, and to hear career and leadership testimonies from influential women in business.

This two-day conference connects environmental and industry leaders from across the state with representatives of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) and Region IV of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to discuss emerging environmental regulatory and environmental management issues as well as to celebrate environmental and energy improvements in the state.

This two-day fly-in to the Nation’s capital includes meetings with Tennessee’s U.S. Senate and House delegation/staff and policy briefings with the U.S. Chamber American Chemistry Council and National Association of Manufacturers.

This year (2024), in conjunction with the Tennessee Automotive Association, the Tennessee Chamber will host the Southern Automotive Conference, which convenes automotive industry associations and companies based in the Southern region. The conference will provide an opportunity for networking and discussion of crucial topics affecting the automotive manufacturing community across the South.

This seminar is designed to help tax and legal professionals, government affairs, and operational managers understand and prepare for tax policy. The seminar provides important updates from the Tennessee Department of Revenue, legislative updates, and new/emerging tax issues impacting business & industry. The event concludes with a meeting of our tax committee that allows member companies the opportunity to weigh in on tax policy for the upcoming session.

The Chamber’s annual golf tournament is one of the largest in the area. Providing a number of gifts, hole sponsorship activities and sponsorships, the tournament provides an opportunity for business & industry leaders to network on the course.

In our role in serving also as the Tennessee Manufacturers Association (TMA), this October the Chamber will present a statewide manufacturing summit, bringing together manufacturers from across the state. Industry experts will provide a number of key updates on the most important topics impacting manufacturing. Additionally, the meeting provides an opportunity for leaders in the local manufacturing community to network and connect with one another. The meeting is hosted in conjunction with local manufacturing groups, chambers of commerce and economic development groups across the state.

The Annual Public Affairs Conference is held every Fall prior to the upcoming legislative session. It is a must attend for anyone involved in public policy and legislative arenas. The conference provides updates from policy experts in a wide variety of areas impacting business & industry and previews the upcoming legislative session. Additionally, this event includes a reception and night of entertainment with a songwriter’s reception. This meeting is open to all members but is aimed at supporting our Public Affairs program representing companies across the state.

National Civics Bee

Calling all Middle School Students! We invite you to share your ideas and flex your civic knowledge in the National Civics Bee!

The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and regional partners across Tennessee to host our third annual National Civics Bee Tennessee, a one-of-a-kind civics competition.

About the Bee

The 2025-26 National Civics Bee encourages young Americans in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. The competition, modeled on traditional spelling and geography bees, gives students the chance to win recognition and earn cash prizes by sharing ideas for improving their communities and showing their enthusiasm for civics. The winner of the National Civics Bee Tennessee State Finals will be invited to Washington, DC to compete in the inaugural National Civics Bee national championship in Fall 2026.
